While I was in Boracay, I told my Uncle Francis this story. My uncle laughed and said that my grandfather was a konsintador or permissive. He told me about the time he told my grandfather that I was using his room in the laundry shop in Boracay. This is the conversation that ensued...

Lolo: Saan si Cat mag- stay? (Where is Cat staying?)
Uncle: Sa kwarto niyo po. (In your room.)
Lolo: Saan ang boyfriend niya? (Where is her boyfriend staying?)
Uncle: (Covering up for me) Doon sa baba, kasama namin. (Downstairs, with us.)
Lolo: Hindi! Magsama si Cat at yung boyfriend niya! (No, Cat and her boyfriend should stay together!)

I texted this story to A and he quickly replied, "I like your lolo!"

If my grandmother found out about my lolo being a konsintador, she'd box him in between his ears.
